No way back?

No way back ?

Hmm…Baby boom in 1960s or 1940s — ahh I bet Japan or South Korea would wish to bring that time back — only for demography wise . Baby boom time happen right after War, and so more likely this poverty rate directly link to a splashing high birth rate, no matter how bad or pitiful it might sound. Guess people were having babies because they needed more help, just more hands in general — own kids work for food –, and also there was no contraceptions, as much as I know.

Of course, I could be more romantic, saying after war folks wanted to start a new life, bring more babies to the world but nah, only in Disney like movies. Fighting for survival, having no roof over, pretty much mingle-twerkle with each other — eat, sleep, +18…repeat

Now Japan and South Korea are way richer but crippling in numbers. Those baby-boom days passed by and no rehab projects will turn it back. To me, no nothing ZERO would, at least for this decade. Just because the whole idea of success in life changed, drastically coin-flipped — comfort is the key now and not bloodline keeping.

What new Gen see on social media for success is completely off slide what we thought of life 30 years like back; glossy buildings, fancy cars, travel 24/7, and more what can dust your pockets. Materially focused to afford all of this to call yourself “lucky funkie”. Party-like weekends, anytime quitting old and starting new, travel whenever and wherever. “Kids” no longer on this “dream life” list.

China is not showing much of their demog. statistics but logically can count it all in theory: life becomes more expensive, there is no much marriages, and baby outside of wed-lock is a Taboo — downfall of economy is likely ahead. I would assume some new policies  would come up to push people into wed-lock: family priority programs, discounts for married, and more…

Russia is on this list as well, fighting more than mildly offering the mother’s capital  (subsidies for 1st kid and for the next ones), keep favouring couples with kids: covering some % for housing, special offers on holidays, but frankly not so much discounts on flight or train tickets. Thats what I know. A big drop in # of newly borns keep punching tables at the Kremlin’s hall. With wars and military operations the gap between birth and death rate bothers many and situation doest look promising for next 5 or 10 years.
